Reality Sets In

Pay no attention to your TV screen; home remodeling takes time.

The Goldammer family, Patrick, Vesta, Patrick, 4, Colette, 20 months, Nicholas, 2, and Caita the dog is waiting for two things: their home remodeling project to be finished and a new addition to the family to arrive. Bartelt. The Remodeling Resouce of Menomonee Falls is working to finish the Waterford house in mid-May; the baby is due this month.

Patrick Goldammer, 4, was highly impressed when two homeless families received a duplex adjacent to a playground on ABC's "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition."

As it happens, his house is under construction, too, but he knows better than to adopt extreme expectations for what's happening around him.

When asked whether it's an "extreme makeover," Goldammer shook his head no. "They are redoing our house," he said. "It's not like the TV."
