Host Pat Simpson introduces us to the homeowners, Jim and Terry, who are excited about remodeling their newly purchased home. Jim and Terry love their woodland location, with its close proximity to the city, but would like an updated home with the space they need for living and entertaining. Their goal is to incorporate the abundant charm of their existing home into the design of their new dream home.

Architect Bruce Jackson takes us through the before and after floorplans and elevations. His design includes a new library, screen porch, and an extensive master suite addition. Bruce plans to create a more modern layout for Jim and Terrys home that will also significantly increase the square footage.

Once all the construction is finished, Pat Simpson takes us on a tour of Jim and Terrys newly remodeled home. The exterior has beautiful fieldstone and a classic red roof. The spacious new interior is bright and open, with attractive arched doorways and crown molding. Some highlights of the new house include its five fireplaces, double screen porches and a dramatic master suite.
