THE CHALLENGE
The owners wanted to remodel their existing lower level. Although the space had been dry-walled , it lacked the ambiance and style they desired for entertaining their friends on the lake. The clients wanted to:
- Give the space the rustic appeal of a vineyard
- Add a gas fireplace
- Build a bar and a space for playing games
- Use natural looking products, such as cork flooring, concrete countertops, and natural stone
- Recreate a wine rack that they had found a in a picture

THE SOLUTION
Bartelt. The Remodeling Resource gave the owners:
- An open concept staircase with wrought iron balusters and an archway
- Arch-topped windows on either side of the gas fireplace
- Concrete countertops and a copper backsplash
- Custom hickory cabinetry
- A custom arched door
- Stone wine storage
