THE CHALLENGE
The client decided it was time to update their kitchen and existing floor plan in order to open up the space for their family. The owners wanted to:
- Build an island with an antique finish on the cabinets
- Include a walk-in pantry
- Get rid of the formal living room to make space for a mudroom and laundry room

THE SOLUTION
Bartelt. The Remodeling Resource gave the owners:
- A rotated floor plan on the first floor
- A mudroom with an entrance to the new garage
- A gathering area off the kitchen and access to a screen room
- Custom hutches and buffet
- An island
