THE CHALLENGE

This 1930s Tudor home was located in a historic neighborhood, and the clients wanted to remodel it while maintaining the classic feel of the home. The clients wanted to:

  • Remove the attached garage
  • Add a two-story addition
  • Build a master suite upstairs
  • Create a kitchen fit to entertain

THE SOLUTION

Bartelt. The Remodeling Resource gave the owners:

  • A garage converted into a family room
  • Furniture-style cabinetry
  • Arches and pillars to match the historic details in other areas of the home
  • A buffet area with a built-in wine cooler and glass doors
  • Patio doors
  • Coffered ceilings with crown moldings
This project won a regional CotY from NARI and a Gold Award from MBA.
