Rick Bartelt and Rick Filo first became partners in 1993, but actually, their stories begin much earlier than that. Each was raised by a father who not only passed on the trade of carpentry, but also instilled the importance of a strong work ethic and attention to detail necessary for quality craftsmanship. After beginning their careers in their respective family businesses, each ultimately felt compelled to go into business for himself in the 1980s. By 1993, they had both built such strong reputations, they decided to join forces as Bartelt Filo. Originally based in Butler, Wisconsin, the firm moved offices to Menomonee Falls in 1995, where it’s been ever since. With more than 50 in-house design and construction professionals working with them today, Rick and Rick have turned Bartelt Filo into Wisconsin’s premier build/remodeling firm.
